From my Lambda Book Report Review:
This excellent book should be required reading for those who think we have reached a ‘post-gay’ world. As gripping as a good novel, Drifting Toward Love shows that, the gay rights revolution, for all its successes, has sadly left more than a few children behind. As researcher and head of the Howard Brown Health Center in Chicago, Robert Garofalo comments, “I think lesbian, gay, bisexual and trandgender adults have done a piss-poor job of taking show more responsibility of the youth in our community.” After meeting the young men of Drifting Toward Love, it would be difficult not to agree. show less

The most sweeping and informative collection of documents detailing the Black experience ever compiled .It portrays the stark realities, great moments and fascinating particulars of being black in America, through the minds and pens of those who lived it.
