Rupert Wright

Rupert Wright shares some of the history, culture and sights of the Languedoc region. Often driven through and past by tourists it's still relatively unknown when compared the other regions in southern France. The author is supposedly writing letters to his elderly grandmother, but that is barely noticeable. Often witty, easy reading (I read it on the bus/train to and from work), and contains useful information for the would-be traveller to the region - it was certainly useful for us.
I like show more the short table of contents or summary at the start of each chapter; reminiscent of books of many years ago. show less
