Series set in a provincial town in the Ukraine in 1888. Anna Mironova has always had the gift, and when her uncle Piotr returns from Paris as a practising medium, she takes an interest. When Piotr becomes a suspect in a murder, Anna uses her dreams and visions of dead people to identify the culprit. A Special Investigator from St. Petersburg, who was given this posting after a mysterious event has required him to leave the capital, is handling the murder investigation. He finds a more mundane way of identifying the murderer. However a shared interest resolving this case has brought Anna and the policeman into frequent contact with each other, and they both sides signs of attraction too each other. As Anna sees more dreams and visions, she becomes involved in more cases that Jakov Shtolmann is investigating. However those in St. Petersburg have not forgotten him... (English, Member-written)
