- A series of stories for children by Robert Hartman published by Morrison & Gibb Ltd in the 1940-1950s. The stories concern an elderly gentleman, single, of comfortable means, regular habits and reasonably good nature. He interacts with a series of wild and domesticated creatures which, in one way or another disturb the even tenor of his life. The books are small format, thick card covered and, somewhat like Beatrix Potter books, are delightfully illustrated by the author on each alternate page. (English, Member-written)
