I hated the abridged version -- which stopped only 1/4 of the way down the creature's tentacles.

Sorry - my pics went wonky on me....

I think these pulps should be brought back...

These guys won't be making friends with Legolas anytime soon.....

The future is so phallic....

S&M meets Star Wars...

21bazling
Feb 18, 2008, 2:12 pm

My god, I want to read every single one of those pulps. I love how much The Astronaut (#5) looks like Shag's art. That's fantastic.

22DaynaRT

I want that The Little People book. It's like the Travelocity gnome went mad.

Nazi leprechans?

25clamairy

I think they're gnomes, not that that makes any more sense. ;o)

26littlegeek

As long as it's not a troll. That would be wrong.

27clamairy
Feb 19, 2008, 5:42 pm

Where've you been, littlegeek?

28littlegeek
Feb 19, 2008, 6:01 pm

I was at Pantheacon, communing with the pagans. I'm having a bit of trouble with reality today....but enjoying the pulp covers!

29Jakeofalltrades
Feb 19, 2008, 6:33 pm

For one thing, stay away from the Nazi Gnomes, if there's one thing you can do as a pagan, it's keeping the Fey Folk in check.

30littlegeek
Feb 19, 2008, 7:06 pm

Good luck with that, TA. In my experience, the fey do whatever the hell they want.

How can you tell if a horse is a lesbian? I don't think I've ever read a story about lesbian horses. My "Friend" Flicka?

BTW -- Amazon USA now has #32 available as a two-fer along with co-author Nolan's

yes, but not a lesbian horse noise, so that's ok.

I really should finish my coffee in the mornings before looking at these threads. Now I'm going to have to mop up the spewed coffee rom the keyboard again. And the guy across the hall wants to know what I'm laughing hysterically at. What am I supposed to tell him - I'm laughing at lesbian horse books!?

Oy. 8^}

39clamairy

#38 - I've learned not to drink anything while I read the posts in here. Yes, trying to explain to my 12 year old son what I am guffawing at is sometimes problematic. ;o)

40Jakeofalltrades
Feb 20, 2008, 9:02 am

Ah, the joys of the internet...

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that cover. Finding out such a book existed intrigued me.

What's comforting is I DON'T have a 12 year old son to explain things to. At least not yet, I'm not ready for that...

More completely awesome lesbian paperback artwork from the '50s and '60s at http://www.strangesisters.com/index.htm. I am certain that I will never be able to forget the title "Twincest."

#46 - I think it's quite obvious. In most months of the year, men with blue suits go around randomly punching men in brown coats and black suits. But in July...it's different. It is well worth noting that everyone else in that picture is wearing blue, but I'm not sure what it is worth.
