- We are the public library serving Avon Lake, Ohio on the beautiful southern shore of Lake Erie.
Our mission is to provide users with the information needed to support their lifelong learning, materials on a broad array of topics related to their lives, work, school and recreational interests, the staff to assist in finding and using information effectively, and meeting spaces for the community to come together on issues that affect us all.
The Library holds hold about 134,000 items (books, magazines, musical recordings, movies and learning kits) at any one time, and we have access to a large set of electronic resources. Along with our Reference, Young Adult and Children's Department, the Library includes DiscoveryWorks, a hands-on arts and science learning center for children and a gallery showing local artists.
