Wynne Harlen has been involved in teaching and research in science education, evaluation, and student assessment throughout her extensive career during which she has been Sidney Jones Professor of Science Education and head of the Education Department at the University of Liverpool, and Director of the Scottish Council for Research in Education. show more Wynne was previously awarded the OBE by the Queen for services to education. In 2008 she was one of the two international winners of the Purkwa prize for science education. In 2011 she was honored by INNOVEC for her contribution to inquiry-based science education. Wynne now acts as a consultant to various science and assessment projects worldwide.
