This is a great book for any roller coaster enthusiast. It begins with the history of the roller coaster, taking us back to the days of the Russian ice slide and continuing through the development of what we now consider an amusement park must have. The subsequent chapters cover the different coaster types that can be found at amusement parks around the world including wooden, steel, extreme machines, and rocket coasters. The final chapter discusses the future of the coaster and its further evolution. The descriptions and pictures are amazing and made me want to go out and ride them all. I used this book when working on a unit involving motion and think it was a great resource. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it show more to anyone who is a roller coaster lover. show less
