Description

After a tsunami causes massive devastation to a tropical island, its governor sends in the bulldozers to knock down villages, replacing them with luxury hotels. Guarding the governor's family isn't James Adams' idea of the perfect mission-- and then retired agent Kyle Blueman comes up with an unofficial and highly dangerous plan of his own. James must choose between loyalty to CHERUB, and loyalty to his friend.

It's odd. I'm not sure what I expected for the end of Cherub but this was kind of a let down. Although I enjoyed the return of Kyle, for the last Cherub book I expected much more of a focus on James. But in the last two books, he's kind of been pushed to the side. It wasn't bad - it just wasn't what I was expecting or wanted. I read these books all through my childhood I would've liked a big explosive end to James' journey. But the last two books weren't bad by any means, just different.

Shadow Wave is more of a second part to Brigands M.C. rather than it's own story. It starts off with James returning to his undercover mission with the biker gangs. This mission is wrapped up quickly and then we're taken back to Kyle's Cherub days. This show more bit was nicely tied into the previous books, giving us a new point of view of what was happening elsewhere. I would've enjoyed something a bit more action packed but it was still interesting to read about tourism and the impact on the local villages.

I feel like it's the end of an era. Even though there's another five books, this was the original series and ones I've read and reread a multitude of times over the years. My go to when I wanted something lighthearted and action packed. But all things must end. 3 stars.

And this is it. James' CHERUB career is over. It was a bit sad, reading the last epilogue. A generation of agents we have been following retire and start new lives as university students or whatever, younger kids like Lauren become the senior agents and little brats like Jake and Kevin are no longer so little.

The book starts with a short mission related to the Brigands mission in book 11. Probably should have been in that book, because it completes that story.

Then we get a wedding and an enjoyable Kyle Blueman story from a few years ago, that will have an effect on James' last mission. In fact, because of what Kyle tells him, James refuses his last CHERUB mission and decides to act independently, helping Kyle who is already retired. show more This last part is not as spectacular as some fans would have wished, but I found it appropriate to close James' character arc. He has finally grown up and matured, becoming his own man, and the story reflects that.

This series has been extremely enjoyable. Nice job, Mr. Muchamore! The

Not one of the best books in the series, and a little bit boring, but stilll a good read.

I enjoyed this, the parallel stories worked well together. I think my students will really enjoy it too.
shadow wave is the last book in the series cherub. this book is the last mission that james adams will ever do in his cherub career. the book is exiting and sad but a grate end to one of the best series of all time
Nice resolution to the fantastic CHERUB series.
this book was really good. I'm sad it's the last of the series. However Robert Muchamore will be writing a new cherub series, but not about James Adams.
