An amazing book which I read at the age of 9 and set me off on the long and explorative road to science fiction. Strong charactures,. One of the first off world books I had read in this style of, Earth doomed, children of the damned trying to make things better by getting off the planet. A must read novel for any child whose daddy's into star trek, battle star/ gallactica or anything of the likes. Blew my mind.
