Most of what I have done here concerns the means to that end: raison, coutume, and inspiration. Chapters 1 and 2 deal with reason, chapter 3 with custom, chapter 4 with inspiration, and chapter 5 summarizes briefly the analysis, broadening the focus somewhat to relate faith to scientific certainty and to suggest some overarching principles in Pascal's way of thinking.
