I read this in 2022, so I am not sure how much has changed in France since publication of this book. However, I found it well written and quite insightful. The author does a good job of exploring every aspect of French culture, and this book should be required reading for anyone moving to France (or at least those moving to Paris).
The author appears to have a thorough understanding of the differences in culture, behavior, and attitudes of the French and Americans. The book is focused on French culture in Paris and it is unclear whether all that is said is true of all of France. It is insightful.
