My Secret Unicorn: The Magic Spell is the first chapter book in a series of 15 My Secret Unicorn books. Lauren, the main character, has just moved from the city to a farm at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. As part of the moving process, her parents have promised her that she may buy a pony. When Lauren and her mom attend a local horse auction, Lauren finds the perfect pony and meets a friendly elderly lady, Mrs. Fontana. With the help of a gift from Mrs. Fontana’s bookstore and some private discussion with the kind, old woman, Lauren starts to wonder if her pony, Twilight, might actually be a unicorn. Lauren embarks on an adventure to find her own faith in magic and for the secret spell to help Twilight turn into her true show more unicorn self.
