This was not the typical Amish story. One of the main characters suffers from amnesia and his appearance at the farm is under mysterious circumstances. ( )

One of my favorite Christmas books. There are several out there by this name, so need to be careful. Warm and wonderful, perfect for the season. ( )

Little Anna Imhoff sees a dead man in the ditch along the Imhoff's long drive. When her sister, Karen turns back, she discovers an Englischer, almost dead. The man recovers physically but has amnesia and Karen is determined to help John Doe discover who he really is, where he is from, and why he is in Hot Springs. She didn't count on falling in love.

Once again, Davids has written a captivating story about the Amish and those living around them. This is another book in the Brides of Amish Country series, and it will keep you guessing. ( )
