Four stories, of which the second and the third take place during the war, the first has a parallel plot to the war and the fourth is a story not so much related to the war but to personal experiences of a government minister's widow during wartime. "The Catch" is a 4.5, "Sakurajima" and "Summer Flower" a 3.5, and "Bones" a 4.5.
i had a good feeling about this book when i bought it. it was good. 3/4 stories are written by men. only one is actually a fighting war story.
