Enjoyable but not my favorite of the series. Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye helps out the CIA with her Fab FBI fiance, Dutch. Abby and Dutch have to help get back a stolen drone in Canada. All sorts of hijinks for Abby ( )

Riveting read; but, somehow a little off for the series. Abby and Dutch were in it and basically the other cast of characters readers of series are familiar with were pretty much missing. More serious and intense with higher stakes and Abby thrust into role of CIA agent of all things; really missed the quirky humor this series that has pretty much stayed on side of "cozy mystery" genre slipped away from. No real complaints about book exactly (other than some big improbabilities--almost the level of preteens playing with Barbie dolls versus real government agencies and terrorist groups); just not really a vehicle for Abby Cooper series and none of the characters were ringing true. Was starting to feel uprooted and out of element. Have next book on preorder already, however, and synopsis sounds more like what I expect from Abby and the rest of the crew. ( )

Vision Impossible is the ninth book in the A Psychic Eye Mystery series.

Abby and Dutch go undercover in the latest book in this series. The government has designed a drone that lock on any to any one's aura and it has gone missing. The CIA and air force have enlisted the help of Abby and fiancee, Dutch Rivers. A well known weapons dealer is being held in Israel and Dutch Rivers has assumed his identity and Abby will assume of the role of his girl friend, well of course she will. Government intelligence says that the drone and it's valuable software is in Canada. Abby and Dutch set up their operation at the Toronto warehouse/ condo of Rick Des Vries. Soon after settling in they meet with a known Russian weapons dealer only to have him killed in a drive by shooting, where Abby nearly is a victim also. Soon they meet with another dealer, Grinkov and Abby needs to be careful as he is more interested in her that the drone. Throw in all of this Des Vries real girl friend showing up and Abby and Dutch really have their hands full.

Abby is having misgivings about this assignment, but knows without her help Dutch probably won't survive.

A bit more of a thriller than the rest of the series, but a very good story. ( )
