In My Heart

"In my Heart," expresses the undying love a parent has for their child. Each page went more into depth about no matter where a parent was, their child was always in their heart. The illustrations were nice, but I think they could have been a bit more precise so that the text could better be depicted.

I think I would use this book to introduce descriptive writing. The author did a good job with expanding different scenarios in which a parent thinks of their child. The text described the love a parent has for their child very well. I believe that children could get a good idea of what descriptive writing is and what its purpose is.

I think this was a great book. It's two parents telling their child that no matter where they are or what they are doing, he's always in their heart. Then they tell him that his friends and family are in his heart too. This story shows kids that the people closest to them, will always be with them no matter what. Kids who have lost a loved one or live far from people they love would appreciate this book because it would make them feel a little less sad knowing you can always keep the memories of the people you love in your heart. The illustraions in this book were very colorful and detailed.

It doesnt exactly say in the book who is in whoms heart, but the illustrator decided to tell the story as the child in the mother's heart. The art was very unique and cute. I absolutely loved the drawings and the way that you can actually see the boy in the heart on the mother. The story itself was simple. It was about the mother's unconditional love for her child.

No matter where you are or what you are doing, a parent is always loving and thinking about their own child. This book does a great job capturing this concept and showing the readers through pictures. A mother is going about her day and doing many activities but she is still thinking about her son and how much she loves him. I think that the pictures are really what captures and makes this book so awesome. They really show how much a parents loves their child no matter where they are or what they are doing! This book is great for any age group too! I think that students who are adopted or have parents that are away for work would benefit most from the book. It just really reminds them that no matter what, their parents are loving them!

This adorable picture book is written from a parent's perspective showing the young child that no matter where they are or what they are doing in their day, that they are always thinking about their child. I think this book would be great in general for all audiences, but especially for students who have parents that travel a lot for work. It would just solidify for students that even though their parents aren't here with them, they are always in their hearts.

The main idea of this book is to show that love is infinite and that no matter where a person is they will remain in your heart forever. I enjoyed this book very much. “In My Heart” is a book about a mom who tells her little boy that he is in her heart wherever she goes. For example, on one of the pages it says “When I’m standing with other people waiting for the bus and when I’m sitting by myself reading the paper and when I take off my coat and begin doing my work, you’re in my heart. Plenty of room for YOU here!” Showing that no matter what is happening at any time that she is thinking about him and he is always in her heart.
The pictures in this book are very detailed and descriptive. With every phrase or sentence in show more the book there is a picture that goes hand in hand on the same page. For example, when the reader reads “and when I’m talking or eating or writing or watching or when I’m just listening to the sounds all around me, you are still in my heart, right here. I can’t go anyplace without you!” The pictures next to each phrase show the mom talking, eating, writing, and listening yet, she is still thinking about him and the pictures show her in her heart. show less

"In My Heart" explains that no matter what she is doing throughout her day or what she is doing that her child is always in her heart. Everyone could relate to this book. It has great illustrations and diverse cultural. This may be a great book for someone who may be adopted.
