I loved reading Abby Johnson's story. The pacing is just right, and because she has been on both sides of the abortion issue, there is so much grace woven into the story. I feel that supporters of both sides could read this without becoming too offended.

I found this book to be such an encouragement for my relationship with God. It took years for prayers prayed for Abby and the clinic she worked at to be answered, but they were answered in much greater ways than any of the people uttering them could have realized or hoped for at the time. I was reminded that even Christians can be living drastically unbiblical lives and yet not realize it fully - and God works on them, even then. I was challenged to pray more fervently, and trust God more fully.

And of course, I was encouraged to get more involved somehow in the pro-life "movement", and recognize that there is much more spiritual warfare going on in the world than I care to admit. I don't want to bury my head in the sand any longer. ( )

This book was really fast, I'd call it a candy-type read, not that it's a very easy read. The description of the ultrasound-guided abortion is hideous, and Abby's struggle with the morality of her time at Planned Parenthood is very compelling, as she considers how many abortions she contributed to, directly. Still, as she grapples with morality and legality of being pro-life, I feel that this book would also appeal to staunch pro-choicers, since Abby herself isn't convinced that illegalizing abortion is the way to go.
