Baby mouse does not want to go to bed, and Daddy sets out to corrall him,

"Mouse baby, mouse baby, are you by the clock? The one atop the mantel with the loud TICK-TOCK? It's time for bed. It's time for sleep. No more time for hide-and-squeak."

but as soon as Daddy finds him, he's off again,

"Scurry up the staircase. Scamper down the hall. Splash into the bathtub with a giant cannonball."

I like this one! Fun, fun. The mouse expressions are delightful and the layout is top-notch.

Repetitive, rhyming text shows Daddy mouse playing hide and seek with baby mouse. (It seems like it's always Daddy who plays this game in picture books). Sweet story with steps leading up to bedtime.
This is nursery rhyme about a father mouse that has to chase his child all around at bed time. It's right for younger readers. The illustrations are wonderfully emotive. I was very happy with it.
