About as detailed an account as you could find anywhere. The small font size in this edition doesn't work for me, though; I had to fall back on the digital version, which doesn't have the same immediacy to me.
Covering the 1200s to 2000, it focuses very little on individuals or relationships. A slightly narrower timeframe (maybe 400 years) might have made it easier to give enough useful detail to key people thought time.
