Saw the cover on a winter display and snatched it up. Slow start, but totally worth it it.

It must be said that [b:Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark|1325218|Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark|Alvin Schwartz|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1440189576l/1325218._SX50_.jpg|145600] wouldn't be able to put across that "nighttime in a strange place" essentially creepy atmosphere if it weren't for Gammell's art. He does that so well, but it's nice to see his range, too. Same style, utterly different vibe.

"Is That You, Winter?" is about a doll named Old Man Winter that wakes up in a bad mood everyday. He is unhappy until it is winter when a girl picks him up to play. The children playing make Old Man Winter happy.
