Description

"In this modern-day Cyrano de Bergerac story, Sid Granger, a fighter pilot with the soul of a poet, thinks he's too homely to woo and win exquisite cover model Rose Ann Jones. He agrees to use his poetry and music to woo her for his buddy, never expecting that, instead of falling for the buddy, Rose Ann will fall for Sid's romantic soul. When Rose Ann discovers the charade and runs, Sid has to come to terms with his own self-image before he can make Rose Ann believe she is the only music show more that fills his heart."-- show less

Sid Granger, Lt Commander, navy pilot, and owner of a “hatchet face with a large nose” has always made jokes about his appearance to avoid questions about his lack of a love life. When he and some buddies meet in Paris for a 30 day leave, he is not thinking of romance. At his hotel he sees a beautiful woman and is immediately attracted without hope of ever making a connection. He pours his heart out in his music. When he sees her again in the company of his friends and one of them, Luther, a shy, handsome flyer, is immediately smitten, he lets himself be talked into writing poetry for her. So begins a Cyrano de Bergerac story. Rose Anne Jones, supermodel, has had two deceptive relationships and is looking for honesty. This was an OK show more interpretation of the classic tale, but the beauty and the beast aspect was definitely overdone. show less
