I suppose it gets 3.5 stars for being more useful than Dwarves of Golarion. Still, it comes off as a by-the-book reference instead of something inspiring. It starts with a little too much text about what humans are like, followed by a few pages of dull history. We have 12 pages of ethnicity, one per page. It was nothing that made me jump for joy, but certainly useful for Golarion players for the names if nothing else. Then come pages for the half-elf and the half-orc. The front cover lists 13 playable partially-human races; so why are only the two that have already been covered in the Player's Companion listed here? It's about as valuable then describing the humans, unless you're completely new to D&D and Pathfinder. Then two pages on show more each of weapons, Aroden, spells and traits (which lists human traits in other books, too). Aroden is awesome, though I would like to know more about the prophecy he failed to fulfill. The rest are pretty bland; the spell Cultural Adaptation shouldn't be a divination, and it doesn't say what the DC for disguising yourself as another ethnicity is in the first place, but those are fairly minor quibbles. show less
