This tale is about a poor woodcutter who stumbles upon a deer that is running away from hunters. The woodcutter saves the deer's life and is granted his wish of having a wife and children. The woodcutter tricks a celestial nymph while her and her sister are bathing in a lake, and she winds up going home with him and marrying him and bearing two children. She convinces the woodcutter to show her her gown and when he does, she takes the children and flies back up into the heavens, for he wasn't supposed to show her the gown until after the third child was born. After finding a way to get back to her in her home in teh heavens, he longs to see his mother one last time, but again on one condition, and he messes that up, and is left to die show more alone. show less
