Since I loved the first book I couldn't wait to read this one. This sequel is one of the most anticipated books that I have been waiting for. Was it worth it? HECK YEAH!!
So, let me start off by saying that this book exceeded my expectations by far! Once I open this book, I knew things were going down but I hadn't expect it to sway me so much. The plot of the book is once again paced awesomely well where you are into the book so much by the time you look up, your fifty pages in! I easily fell into the book enojying all the twist and turns.
The love interest. Let's take this moment to scream. 1...2...3..
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
There. There are many new developments with this couple that either made me feel happy, angry, show more sad, and even heartache. Ms. Shirvington, you sure do know how to mess with my emotions! I wanted to slap people around and make them see. It's in front of your eyes. OPEN THEM!!
It did however, end they way I wanted to, so in the end, I am happy camper :)
For now...
There are several new twists towards the end of the book that made my head turn. I knew something was up and I'm glad it all came to light. Once again, Violet fights till the end never giving up even when other do around her. She find new allies and makes new friends who help her along the way.
Entice is a fantastic sequel stealing breathe from the reader. The tension of power, control, and love ignites a war that has just yet begun. The gripping drama with vivid emotions, once in the story there is no way out.
Entice lingers in the mind, far even when it's over. You must solve the riddle. Find the traitor and hope to God you figure it out first. Cause if not, a bigger power is going to be unleashed. Solid and inviting, Entice is beautiful. show less

I have mixed feelings about this book. For the first book, I enjoyed the intriguing angelic world and liked Violet as a character, but I didn't really liked the way the romance played out.
In this book the adventure/action side of things was great, and I like the idea of the scriptures. Meeting the pair of soulmates, and the rollercoaster that sent them on was also interesting. And of course, the chemistry between Licoln and Violet was amazing.
But.. I have two peeves about Enticed. Firstly, Phoenix. I felt that his sudden hatred of Violet and his want to kill her, was a bit crazy. It doesn't make any sense for me- maybe for an unstable psycho exile, but Phoenix seems pretty balanced. A guy shouldn't want to kill a girl- shouldn't even show more contemplate killing a girl (he had mixed feelings) just because she rejected him after he betrayed her. Perhaps if Jessica had explored the idea of his wanting revenge because Violet's mum killed his mum in depth, it may have been slightly more believable.
Further, it was excrutiatingly predictable. The traitor, Violet's angelic parent, the mastermind behind all of it... I was pleading in my mind whilst I read that it was all just Violet making wrong assumptions, but alas...
But anyhow, it was a good read. And although the third book won't be at the top of my reading list, I'll definately give it a chance. :) show less

I'm often disappointed by the second book in a series, so I was really happy that this wasn't the case here. It's solidly advances the plot, while keeping the romance factor high, but it also doesn't feel like the author is just throwing obstacles in the characters way. I'm already trying to get my hands on the next one.
Well, finally finished it this morning.
It wasn't as good as Embraced was in my personal opinion. But it was still really good. Once I got into it, I inhaled it like I did Embrace.
But, one thing I can say is that it had me laughing at many points throughout the book.
I find myself still routing for Lincoln and Violet's relationship, even with all the risks. I'm finding myself hoping that they find a loop hole of some sort that Rudy & Nyla didn't...
My dislike for Phoenix grew even more than I expected it to..And I didn't think that was even possible...
I've seen a few say they didn't like the way Lincoln was acting throughout the book, and although I felt the same way at some points...I do have to say that they both were at fault for how he show more was acting because neither had the maturity level or common sense to open their mouths and talk....to each other! I hated the secrets they kept, secrets that I personally didn't understand why they kept them.
This book drove me nuts & many times, I wanted to slap some of the characters...
There were some newbies in the book that I fell in love with...Others, not so much....
The only reason this book didn't get a 3 was because it did keep me laughing, when the action started, it was really good..
I kind of hope that they make a movie out of this. Even though the descriptions were there, it was still kind of hard for me to picture a few of them vividly...
But, I can't wait to get...

And Violet Eden's story just keeps getting better and better!...
In the first book to the Violet Eden Chapters, Embrace, we meet Violet and watch her learn about her destiny and struggle in her decision to whether or not embrace her angel powers. Will she be able to accept her immortality and fate? Will she be able to do it alongside her partner, Lincoln, even if she may never be able to forgive Lincoln after he kept these life altering secrets from her. And her relationship with Phoenix, finding out who he really is and what his intentions are. A lot of her choices where not good ones, will she be able to deal with all of the consequences?
In Entice, Violet has chosen to accept her new destiny, work hard on her training, deal with trying show more to balance her teen real life while being a Grigori and is struggling with how to deal with her true feelings towards Lincoln too - things are different now and are highly complex to the point that things can end very badly... even so, after promising each other that there are no more secrets, Lincoln starts to pull away at a most crucial time and he is never around for Violet. Suspicions arise and things start to fall a part, fast.
Now, throw in some new and intriguing characters! A serious plot that just keeps getting better, thicker and, for lack of a better word, enticing! This book has now turned into one of my all-time favorite angel reads ever. There is so much suspense and mystery surrounding Phoenix in this book - and because of him, all angels are after the same thing. They're off on a hunt that can change the world as we know it - and if these items get into the wrong hands, the imaginings of hell is just the beginning.
Jessica Shirvington's writing and world building is so realistic
- she has created a beautiful story of love and hope, you will not be disappointed in this series. show less

This series has quickly made it into my favorites and I will continue with this series until it's finished. This book will stay with you long after you've finished reading it. Fantastic writing, Great pacing, Awesome plot, and impossible to put down. Likable characters that continue to grow. I can't wait to start Emblaze which is the third book in this series. I hold this series to a high standard and this whole collection is worth the money to add to your book shelves. Enjoy- I know I did-
There are angels that walk amongst humans on Earth, however they are not the kind that bless your soul but rather rip your bleeding heart from your chest and watch as you suffer into death. Angels do not belong on Earth but as Violet is finding out, you can't kill them all.
Violet and Lincoln have made a promise to each other, no more secrets, however it soon becomes evident that Lincoln is hiding something. Lincoln is never around when Violet needs him and when Phoenix returns Violet is in need of Lincoln now more then ever, however his secret is tearing them apart. Meanwhile the Grigori are running out of time, the Scriptures are close to being discovered and without Lincoln, Violet is in very real danger of losing her life.
Enticed by show more the only one she can truly love but never have, Violet must make a heartbreaking choice. Ever since Violet embraced her inner angel becoming Grigori to save Lincoln's life Violet has had second thoughts. Now more then ever she is lost, unsure of who she is, but when she is with Lincoln there are no second thoughts. That is until even he is almost lost to her forever. A charming tale of love, loss and hope that maybe someday, somehow, love will find a way. show less
