A well written book, however, more appropriate for those with familiarity of naval convoys in WWII. I found the first half of the story very confusing as I have neither read the other two books in the series nor have a background in naval warfare or shipping.I also found it hard to identify with the characters. Enthusiasts in the field of naval warfare, however, will appreciate the tremendous detail. I found it lacking a storyline that I could really grab onto until the last few chapters.
