FoxTrot Sundaes: A FoxTrot Collection

I have no idea how to review comic strip collections, really. All I can say is that, if you're not familiar with this family, maybe it'd help you imagine it if you put it in between Baby Blues and For Better or For Worse. Some cliches of sibling rivalry etc., but plenty of original laughs too, with very little actual mean-spiritedness.

A collection of Bill Amend's Fox Trot strips after he went to Sundays only. I had moderate hopes that the expanded format, additional time and reduced stress (no more daily strip) would have induced Amend to push the envelope a little, take some chances and break out a little from the comfort zone he has so rigidly stayed within lo these many years. Alas.
