"I, Shana Berrie, am my sister's official navy "parenting plan." That means I'm in charge of adorable Jazmine until my sis returns. But--surprise!--nine-year-olds have lots of opinions, including ones on my love life (or lack thereof). Now she's trying to set me up with our family friend, Adam Kennedy. Excuse me--Lieutenant Commander Adam Kennedy. So he's great looking and very helpful (if dictatorial), but I am not in the market for a navy husband"--Publisher description.Tags

A very quick fluffy but rather chaste read -- entertaining and smoochy. Just the thing for curling up with while sick in bed.
In Macomber’s romance novel, Shana Berrie has recently relocated to Seattle and purchased her own pizza parlor. She hopes to get her life back on track when out of the blue; her naval nurse sister is shipped out leaving her to care for her nine-year-old niece, Jazmine. To Shana’s surprise, her niece happily takes her love life into her hands as she pushes Shana in the direction of family friend, Commander Adam Kennedy. Adam is only too happy to step in and give the overwhelmed Shana a helping hand. To Jazmine’s joy, passion soon flares between the two.
Macomber has masterfully woven a memorable story of romance.

This was a nice quick read. Though predictable, it added the fun of a nine year old matchmaker and a pizza/ice cream parlor.
Light and fun. Quick but satisfying read.
