Over 900 weaving patterns on more than 25 different weave structures are drafted out. Each chapter covers a structure, and many patterns give various tie-ups and treadling sequences. A photograph of each weave accompanies each threadding draft.
This is a book that every 8 shaft weaver should own. It has a collection of 765 drafts contributed by the readers of Handwoven magazine. The book is broken into 25 different chapters, each covering a subject or weave structure. With each chapter, there is a description of the structure and its variations and drafts with black and white photos of the woven sample.
It is a reference book, an inspiration book and an essential guide to getting the most from an 8 shaft loom.
