Annie, her mother, and her cat, Moon, are moving away from the country and into the city. They move many times for many different reasons. At one of their homes, Moon cannot sleep inside and has to live in the shed. In another home their is a baby that pulls Moons tail. When they finally settle down at Grandmas house Moon doesn't get along with Grandma's dog at the beginning and ends up running away. When Moon comes back Annie is happy. Moon helps Annie get through all the moves around town.
