Description
A Snowbound Christmas... A second-chance bride!Practical Jenna Campbell has done something impractical. She's met a man on the Internet and now, a month before Christmas, she's going to Alaska to marry him. Dalton Gray seems to be everything she wants in a husband--sensitive, gallant, romantic....
On the flight to Fairbanks, she has the misfortune to sit beside Reid Jamison, who obviously isn't sensitive, gallant or romantic. However, he's not impressed with her plan to marry Dalton, a man show more he detests (for good reason, as Jenna later finds out). So Reid takes it upon himself to change her destination--and her marriage plans.
Which is why Jenna ends up at Reid's cabin in tiny Snowbound, Alaska. It's currently a one-woman town (and the other woman's out of town). That leaves Reid, a bunch of eccentric old men, a few grizzly bears--and Jenna. Kidnapped! And then there's a blizzard. The two of them alone, stranded in Snowbound...
Hmm. Maybe she'll be a Christmas bride, after all!

Jenna Campbell's life is a rut. She's spent 6 years as executive assistant to Brad Fulton and in love with him to no avail. Her mother is divorced for the 5th time and on the prowl. She has spent 4 months corresponding via internet with a man in Alaska who sounds very interesting and determines to throw up everything in California and go to Alaska to meet him and see what develops. However, on the flight up she sits next to a man who has nothing good to say about the man she is going to meet. When she arrives and Dalton is not there to meet her she convinces Reid to take her to Dalton's town to meet him. In good conscience Reid can't do it and takes her to his town of Snowbound instead, hoping she can stay with his sister and hear the show more truth about Dalton. None of this goes as planned. This is a cute story with great side characters. show less
A quick fluff read. Very predictable and just what I needed for pure entertainment that just isn't deep. A nice winter comfort read.
Sweet and predictable with a whole bunch of humour – that is what I expect from Debbie Macomber and that is what I got – happy, happy, happy!!! I enjoy reading romances; I love books set in snow; I love quirky support characters and I love it when a girl has more than one guy competing to be her love interest. So SNOW BRIDE pressed all my buttons. Jenna’s much married and divorced mum was the best of the quirky characters, her role was small but when she was on the page she really stood out! Overall NOW BRIDE is a very enjoyable light and fluffy read.
rabck from eponine38; I think I read this before, perhaps under a different title. But it was a good reread. Jenna meets an Alaska man on the internet, so she flys to Fairbanks to meet him. Reid, a bush pilot from Snowbound Alaska, knows the man she's meeting and when he doesn't show up, he takes her home. Then they get snowed in for days, with Jenna fuming about her "kidnapping" the whole time. The townfolk charm her, she finds out her internet pal really is a sleaze, and her mother shows up and falls in love with the storekeeper! Needless to say, Jenna is staying in Alaska.
Nice simple story. A smart girl with no other hopes falls for a guy on the internet. It was interesting the way that man Dalton turned out to be and his history. Just laughed at her mother and her behaviors. Really liked Reid that she met on the plane and his sister.
