Cada año desaparecen en el mundo 13 millones de hectáreas de bosque. Un 90% de la deforestación es ilegal. Esta destrucción amenaza la supervivencia de numerosas especies, entre ellas el perezoso de tres dedos.

Las páginas desplegables de este libro esconden muchos detalles que puedes ir descubriendo, además del perezoso. A través de ellas y de un texto con elementos que se van repitiendo, el libro nos muestra cómo el esplendor de un bosque puede desaparecer por la acción humana. Pero también nos enseñará cómo las pequeñas acciones humanas pueden impedir tal devastación.

Se trata de una original propuesta estética con un contenido que ofrece dos lecturas diferentes: por un lado lo que ocurre en el bosque, y por otro, cómo vive en él nuestro protagonista, al perezoso de tres dedos. Este animal está completamente adaptado a la vida sobre los árboles, ha perdido su capacidad para desplazarse por tierra y su principal sustento son las hojas. ¿Qué pasaría si su hábitat desapareciera?
