So I enjoyed the last book but it wasn’t my favorite. This one? It made up for the last book a hundred times!
Yes, there were some even harder subjects in this one, like abortion, a couple breaking up, fear of losing family members, lies from people that characters trusted, and more. But it is also the most satisfying with the redemption that characters found.
By far my favorite of the series. The characters were wonderful to see again, and the slight step away from romance enjoyable. Getting to see more of the Baxter family in Found was great, I liked seeing Luke’s family as well as Erin’s.
Cole is such a cutie!
John’s struggles were so real and I loved that we get to see his thoughts as he tries to fulfill his late wife’s last show more wish even when it looks like he won’t succeed in finding what he’s looking for, and we also see him try to balance life without the love of his life even though she’s in a better place.
And Dayne, I liked him all right in the first books but in this one?! He was a bit more human, we saw his true feelings. I read and felt his heartbreak, anger, need for love, and his grief. Wishes that he would have been wrapped in hugs. Poor guy!
All of the characters grew so much . . . Or maybe it was that Mrs. Kingsbury missed writing their story for a while. I don’t know but I do know I loved this book.
The writing style was slightly different from the first two books, not better or worse but slightly different it may have been Dayne’s changes throughout the novel though.
Since there were a lot of mentions of the characters’ sins or whatever I recommend this book for 16/18 up, I give 4 and 1/2 stars.

Another great Firstborn book detailing how the John Baxter and Dayne finally connect. Dayne is searching for inner peace. Thought he was going to find it with Kabbalah but Katy tells him to search further.
This is also the continuation of the Dayne and Katy story.
Since it is the Midwest, a huge tornado is involved.
I do not want to give any more away, but I will say it is refreshing to read a series free from foul language and vulgarity.
Book 3 picks right up where #2 leaves off. Dayne finally meets his real Dad, John Baxter. When will the rest of the family find out about Dayne and can Dayne and Katy ever have a chance at love?? I am loving this series!
