This book depicts the many different types of shoes you would see all around the world, and also shoes that have different uses. I liked this book as it is simple, yet informative and it uses real pictures. I was very excited to find this book as shoes are a topic that kids are interested in, yet do not usually have the opportunity to explore. It was a very unique book in my opinion.

This book was exciting for me because it embraced several different cultures, activities, people and countries. Because I chose this visually, I didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. This would be a good book for children because it includes shows they've never seen before and are presented with a glimpse of life in another culture and can begin to appreciate it. The graphics were wonderful. The back of the book contained a description of each picture, showing what country it was taken in. Additionally, on the last page there was a map pinpointing all locations where the photos were taken.
In this book you'll find photographs showcase different types of shoes worn by people across various countries and regions. From working shoes to dancing shoes, and even shoes for ice or snow, it’s a global tour of footwear. Whether you’re curious about traditional footwear or simply love shoes, this book celebrates the many ways we protect and adorn our feet!
This book shows very different countries and shoes but uses verbiage that defines them in universal ways. Pictures are all photos, and this is a conversation extender. i.e., how are they different shoes, why would you want shoes like that, etc.
The book consisted of wonderful photographs and uses them to show how people from all over the word use them. For example, it shows children wearing dance shoes, school shoes, snow shoes, and rain boots.
I thought this was a cute story and also it could be used to show the students that know matter where you were from everyone is the same/ everyone needs shoes!
