I had heard of this book at a Sherlock Holmes panel at LonCon3 (Worldcon) and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, as was stated by another reviewer, I found it too fan-fiction-y to be able to get into the book. I rarely give up on a book, but this one, for now, it's going in the "ugh" pile.
