While I wasn't overly impressed with this book, I would be lying if I said it was a BAD read. I actually enjoyed it - it was a nice, light read. I got this book from a co-worker of mine, so it was a decent hand-me-down. I love getting hand-me-downs, especially books because I have read/found a few great books this way. I kept it at work so I always had something to read during lunches and breaks, and it was a great way to keep myself amused.
The plot is fairly entertaining, with this soap-opera star who has to deal with a stalker/would-be assassin which has a surprise ending, though the more serious plot happens around her family and a family tragedy that has happened to their friends. There's several surprise twists in this book, and show more while some might have felt it cheesy (I did find the romance part to be cliched), I genuinely enjoyed this book and would recommend it as a light and fun read. Overall 3.5/5 stars. show less

this book was really good. i didn't know what it was about really when i started it but it turned out to be quite good. it was a thriller/suspense thing. one of the main characters was a soap opera star so they gave soap opera trivia info every couple chapters that i found quite interesting. it's amazing how many people started on the soaps. you might be quite surprised. it was well written, light. also they would play the scenes the character was doing on the soap she was on. (i'm not really into soaps, ok, except desperate housewives and as embarrassed as i am, melrose place).. but the last bit is actually the last scene for the soap she's on. i thought that was quite original (well of course it was, haven't seen that before) and a show more different spin on things. quite worth the read. show less
I like reading about a soap star. Her journey back home her stalker. The man she ended up in love with. what suprise me who her stalker was i did not think it was that person at all.
Not my fav book by Coulter. The characters seemed distant and hard to get to know. There wasn't a lot of sizzle here, even though I wanted to like it.
Fun mystery based around a soap opera entitled "Born to be Wild" and its lead actress. I enjoyed the characters, particularly Mary Lisa and her friends.
Mary Lisa Beverly - a soap-opera phenom who's just won her third Daytime Emmy for her role as sunday Cavendish on Born to Be Wild. She's fun and lovable and has lots of crazy friends, most of whom hang out at her house in the Colony, the famous gated community in Malibu. Unfortunately, there is one bad thing to poleax her champagne life - someone is trying to kill her.
this book completely stinks. characters are totally unbelievable, and the dialogue is inane. Don't care who the murderer is. Don't buy this book.
