Description

A summer holiday with her eccentric, infuriating family and assorted glamorous hangers-on is the last thing Tash French would usually volunteer for. But her mother is insistent and, out of a job and recently ditched by her boyfriend, Tash decides that spending July in the vast rambling Loire chateau might have its compensations. It's a summer of lust, bed-hopping, unresolved sexual tension, horses, dogs, bolshy kids and lots of bad behaviour. And in the midst of bedlam, at least two people show more fall in love . . . show less

It took me awhile to finish reading, it is a thick book indeed. Many colorful charaters with their own ideosyncracy, funny at time and plenty of fun. It was a wonderful read for me.
A great summer read! It's witty and sexy, and it'll make you crave booze and food. Oh, to have rich relatives in France!
Dear lord, this was RIFE with similes on the first 6 or so pages and as a result I had no idea what I was reading about or who this main character was. Totally overwritten. I think I'm going to have to come back to it as at the moment it's a total DNF. Erk.
I loved the story of Tash and Hugo and although this is a long book full of lots of characters and side stories it's a great summer read. If you like it be sure to check out Fiona Walker's other books about Tash and Hugo, Well Groomed and Kiss and Tell
This is the book that introduces us to Tash, her mad family and to Hugo; the snob shes always had a crush on. Its a perfect book for the beach, bath or bed. Guarenteed to lift your spirts, check out the sequel too, which introduces more mad characters and is equally fun.
