This is a lovely biography of Frida Kahlo. She was one of the most famous Mexican artists and she was married to another artist, Diego Rivera. She suffered from polio and injuries from a bus accident, but she was a fantastic artist. This book is beautiful; full of illustrations and photographs documenting her life and her art.
Frida Kahlo was one of the most famous Mexican artists and in 1953 she became the first woman artist in Mexico to have her own show. She was married to fellow artist Diego Rivera. Despite suffering from polio and injuries from a bus accident, Frida created some of the most beautiful and intriguing art. She particularly enjoyed painting self-portraits. This book tells her story and uses her art as well as whimsical illustrations by the author.
