Color workshop is written by four modern quilt designers whose work can also be seen in the very popular webzine they developed called Fat Quarterly. I really love this book for the innovative use of color and pattern in these wonderful modern blocks. It inspires me to be creative in fabric choices. The book is divided into sections devoted to the shapes of block parts, such as squares, circles and triangles. In every section, the designer uses the same group of fabrics to make the many blocks. This helps me see the blocks in a sampler quilt.
