Myself and Michael Innes: A Memoir

Partly autobiography and partly snippets from his varied writing ,this is a fascinating insight into a dual life. J.I.M. Stewart was the author of both fiction and non-fiction of a somewhat serious,but enjoyable type. Under the name of Michael Innes he was better known as the author of the John Appleby series of light-hearted detective novels.
