This book has been in my science fiction collection since I was six years old. You see, I loved the cover but somehow I never got around to reading the book but now after many decades I finally read it. An earthquake kills 95,000 vacationers. Who knew? Well it seems that someone did know! He even tried to warn people. But no one believes a nut who believes that he can predict earthquakes. Now he is warning that London is next. So who would want to kill a man trying to save millions of lives? And how do you stop something unstoppable? To make things worse, politics may be involved. Politics! Good thing I read this when I was an adult…
an interesting idea. the personal side(acting prime minister and newspaper editor hating each other) of the story was kind of superfluous. the word pictures of the victims were very good. i didn't of course like the playing around with time.
