Genre - Fiction Classification - Picture Book Approximate Age Level - 3-5 Multicultural Classification - Melting Pot Personal Reflection - i started my apple unit with this book. it gave students every aspect they need to know about apples - from seeds to eating. It's useful for going over vocabulary terms. I enjoyed this book for two reasons. I loved the detailed Illustrations, they are colorful and descriptive. For example, the text states "M" is for markets. In illustration depicts a farmer's market stand with a variety of apples, and other fruits. Also, the writing was engaging and informative. After each letter there is a small fact about apples, and what apples can be used for. a specific detail from the story would be "D is for Deciduous, apple trees lose their leaves in the fall. This makes them deciduous trees." The purpose of this story is to inform and entertain. no reviews | add a review
