Not only does this book tell the story of Helen Keller's life of courage and perseverance, it presents the material in a way that would appeal to reluctant readers. The Graphic Library series book gives the student background information, dialogue and visualization of Helen Keller's life. It allows the readers to see how the person dressed and spoke during the time, but in a form that is popular with today's generation. I think this will appeal to middle school students who need a visual aid when reading or those who are not interested in history subjects. I also appreciated the further reference section of age appropriate websites.
The story of Helen Keller, who becomes deaf and blind from an illness as a child. A lady named Anne comes to be her teacher when Helen is older and she teaches Helen to use sign language and to read Braille to communicate with people and she becomes very successful.
This is an interesting version of the story Helen Keller, which I also had a biography over.
In the classroom, I would use this book for my more experienced readers.

This is the story of Helen Keller's life. But its in a graphic novel format. Ideal for students or patrons who have to do a project with a biography, but really do not like to read, the pictures are visually appealing and the text complements the pictures to tell the story of Helen's life.
A story of an amazing teacher named Annie, and how she changed Helen Keller’s life. Written in graphic novel format.
