This book is a great beginners guide to an Octopus. It explains how an octopus escapes from its predators, It also explains how smart an octopus is. It is just a great beginners guide to the life of an Octopus.
I really enjoyed this book, it was full of great information! The colors in the book are amazing! I can not really relate myself to this book, but it is one that I found very interesting.
I can use this book in my class when introducing sea life into my classroom. I would read this book out loud and then have the students draw an Octopus.

This is a factual book all about the octopus. It is filled with facts that explain all about types of octupi, how they live, what they eat, and how they protect themselves. This book includes lots of fun facts, that children will find fascinating. For example, did you know that an octopus can live with 7 legs and the missing one can grow back in time?
Great book. I learned a lot about the Octopus and how it lives. I had know idea how intelligent an Octopus is.
This is an informational book all about octopi. The book talks about how many legs an octopus can have, how long they can be, how big and many more! Through this book, we also learn how they sleep, what they eat and even where they live. This book also has awesome and realistic pictures to show each part of the book.

Patricia Lauber was born in New York City and graduated from Wellesley College. During her lifetime, she wrote more than 125 children's books including the Around-the-House History series, the Clarence the TV Dog series, and contributions to the Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science series. Volcano: Eruption and Healing of Mount St. Helens received a show more Newbery Honor in 1986. In 1983, she received The Washington Post/Children's Book Guild Award for her overall contribution to children's nonfiction literature. Besides being an author, she was also an editor of Junior Scholastic and editor-in-chief of Science World. She died on March 12, 2010 at the age of 86. (Bowker Author Biography) show less
