The amount of research Dunn must have done to complete this work boggles the mind. It covers such a long period of time and is so complete. It is a must read for any Black transplant to Miami, like myself (2002) who wants to know how we fit into the landscape of this beautiful paradise that is more Caribbean than American. I'd like to see it updated if possible as 1997 was 15 years ago. There's much more history to be written Mr. Dunn.
