I had read a few other of LoCicero's works, and enjoyed them all, however, this book sort of misses the mark for me. We continue the story of Lina Lentini, a character who was introduced in the first book of the Truth Beauty Trilogy, and her friendship with Cecile Eaton, a wealthy friend, who is the unfortunate recipient of financial mismanagement, and the suspicious banking circumstances of her accounts. There is a lot of positives about the book: the subject of shady banking deals is certainly a hot topic; but, (and I hate that there is a "but") the book is dense, and a bit complicated to follow. There is a forced feeling to the writing, and little emotional attachment to the characters readers are used to getting from LoCicero.

The twists and turns don't let you down, loads of things revealed and answers I'd never even considered. The plot moves along so intriguingly I couldn't have read it faster.
The plot was interesting. The atmosphere was dark and brooding. The characters were great. I hope this author writes more stories since there is a wonderful imagination there full of ideas that make you think. Good read. I want more.
