I enjoyed this book even though I hadn't read the previous books in the series. There was the right amount of drama, humor and faith in this story.
This is the last book in the series. I found it quite entertaining. My aunt also left me this one when she came out. I was eventually able to find the first two in the series. It is a nice touch of clean fiction.
After his adventures in Africa, Edward Steele is determined to return to Collingbourne in time for Christmas but is delayed when a fast friend aboard ship grows ill and needs his help--a change in plans, disappointing at first, that leads him to meet a very intriguing young woman.
What captured my attention about this book was the fact that it had so much action and adventure. There were twists and turns in the story line that were new to me, and the surprise in the middle of the book sent me for a loop! I wasn’t able to put it down!
