Fans of Levy’s Booker nominated Swimming Home will love these brief, beautifully composed stories in her new collection. The characters are fascinating. For many of them, social and physical displacement from their past lives colours how they perceive themselves in the present. Recommended
I can't think of anything telling to say about this one - in retrospect I should have written the review before reading the first 100 pages of the Francis Plug, which is very different! I enjoyed reading these poetic and elliptical stories, but in retrospect it is difficult to say why...
I was disappointed, because I LOVED Swimming Home. But, see for yourself- the problem could well be just me.

these are very short short stories, very enjoyable with a couple of real gems.
I'm not sure I understood the point.
