When we look at the book “The Truth about Bats” Mrs. Frizzle takes us all over the United States to locate different types of bats. As they adventure they learn facts about what they eat, where they live, how echolocation works, and myths about bats that many believe about bats. This allows the children the opportunity to learn about an animal that most individuals don’t know much about. The thing that I love the most is that the Magic School Bus is a book that is always fun and puts a twist on learning. I believe that this book will be a great aspect to any classroom, because children always find this type of book interesting.
This was one of my favorites when i was in elementary school. I just loved it. Getting to read it to my niece of five years old now makes the childhood memories come back.
This book is informational because it contains facts and information about bats. It discusses the different types of bats and what bats eat. It also explains why they fly at night and how they "see" in the dark.
This book is written in short easy chapters that would encourage students to keep reading and learning. This style is easy to understand and follow and is effective for children who are beginning to read chapter books.
