Carol Wood was born in England (1958) and grew up in Perth, Australia. She read comics and learned to draw her own cartoons. She and her friend Susan Butcher met and bonded over comics. They have been working together for twenty years. They have published six self-published issues of Pox, and are regular contributors to Artillery magazine.
